There was a good turnout at the weekend with benign conditions and steady scoring – the exception being Cathal Óg, Captain of last year’s winning Senior Scratch team, who had a fantastic score of 4 under par, playing off (0) handicap.

His card consisted of 1 Eagle, 5 Birdies and 3 Bogies.

More practice needed Cathal!!

Not surprisingly this was the best score this year. The bar is set high. Can anyone emulate or beat it in the coming months unless he does it himself as he set the record back in 2017.
